How to find us

Our shop and exhibition space can be found in Bampton Old Grammar School, near St. Mary’s Church.

Church View
Bampton, Oxfordshire OX18 2NE

Bampton sits on the southern edge of the Cotswolds around 18 miles south-west of Oxford and 5 miles from Witney. It is easy to reach by car or by public transport from Oxford or Witney.

There is on street parking (with some restrictions) but in the evening this can be limited as much of Bampton was built before the advent of the car so residents have to use it too. In addition there is short term parking in the Market Square (up to four hours) and you can usually find some space in Church Close right next to the Church.

We would not recommend trying to park in Church View as although this is Downton’s High Street it is also very narrow!

If you are a coach or minibus driver visiting us for the day, you may want to drop off in the Market Square and then use our Sports Pavilion parking on Buckland Road, Bampton, OX18 2AA.

Bus Services

For a rural village, Bampton is fairly well provided for by bus services to and from Witney and Carterton (Service 19), and Oxford (Service 18) – at least from around 7am until 7pm, Mondays through Saturdays!

The bus operator is Stagecoach and their timetables are here.
